Thermal or mechanical induced deformation of optical elements may lead to failure or compromised performance. A specific example here is a lens stack. Many lens components have multiple layers such as the base glass, OCA and coatings. These layers often have different CTE and modulus that may cause deflection or even delamination at high and low temperatures. In addition, after the lens stack is mounted on a frame, the potential CTE match with the frame adds another layer of complexity. Our team have the expertise to evaluate the deflection under both free and constrain conditions, and provide guidance on optimization. We are also capable to feed the data needed for further assessment in CODE V or Zemax.
